It is called Sandhyaa Vandanaalso because the obeisance is oered at the junctures of 1. TrikaalaSandhyaa vandana means paying obeisance to the Lord, three times a day,i.e., during sun rise, noon and sun-set. Sandhyaa vandana is a daily duty for aBrahmana after upanayana. Sandhyaa vandana, worship of Gods three times a day at thejunctures of Night-Morning-afternoon-evening, invoking their blessings andstrength, is one such important activity.Brahmanas=A Brahmana deserves to be called so only when he conducts himself in theways approved in the scriptures and also performs at least the basic ritualcalled trikaala Sandhyaa-vandana. Ideally, man should turn everything he does into sacredwith a view to know himself and his God and towards this strengthen all hisfaculties. It is towards strengthening in this directionthat man has evolved rituals and faith in that Universal Power and set outin search thereof. While enormous education, training andeorts go into tackling diculties, conicts and uncertainties at thebasest physical level onwards, these are waning with the progression to thenoblest spiritual level. Broadly speaking thediculties and conicts he faces can be categorised as physical on theone extreme and spiritual on the other, intervened by various other stageslike ethical, intellectual, emotional, lial, occupational, professional,societal, national and so on.
